Step 1 of 2 - Request for Extension Information

  • Request for Extension Form

If your ability to submit an assignment on time has been affected by illness or personal circumstances you may be eligible for an extension of the assessment due date. This means that you will get extra time to hand in the work without incurring any late penalties.

Please read the following information and if you still wish to apply for an extension, click 'Next' and fill in this form on the following page. You can choose to attach any relevant documentation to support your application for an extension. (e.g. doctor’s certificate).

Your application will be submitted to your Training Manager, as noted in your Student Handbook, who will in consultation with the General Manager, look at your case and make a decision about your request for an extension.

The extension period will in no case exceed 14 days unless a formal application for special consideration has been lodged, and been approved. Students must apply for an extension before the assessment due date. If you are granted an extension and you hand in the assignment after the new due date your work may incur penalties.

If you are finding that you regularly need to apply for extensions you may need to book a time with our Student Support Officer, who can assist you with getting help to improve your study and time management skills. The Student Support Officer can be contacted by emailing

Remember, we are on your side and will do anything we can to help you through any of life's challenges. Our goal is to see you succeed!
