Diploma declared a traineeship in QLD

LTSA is pleased to announce that the Diploma of Library/Information Services (CUL50104) has been declared a traineeship in Queensland from 16 August 2010.

This was a joint submission by LTSA and MEGT Australian Apprenticeships Centre to add the course to the range of traineeship qualifications already approved by the QLD Department of Education and Training.

As a result, eligible candidates for the Diploma can receive up to $4,000 for their employers in Australian Government incentives, which can assist in offsetting fees charged by training organisations delivering this qualification. This funding also applies to the Certificate IV in Library/Information Services. Eligible students may receive up to $8000 in funding if they complete both qualifications.

We can advise that there is now a complete traineeship pathway for the Library/Information Services sector from Certificate II to Diploma level with each traineeship outcome attracting incentives for eligible candidates.
