About LTSA
Library Training Services Australia (LTSA) is a privately Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering nationally recognised qualifications from CUL11 Library, Information and Cultural Services Training Package at Certificate II, III, IV and Diploma levels.
We deliver courses via Distance education/Correspondence thus allowing students to undertake their studies whilst continuing to work and/or to fit in with other personal commitments. Whether you are already working or volunteering in a city, regional or remote library, this flexible delivery method allows you to gain a nationally recognised qualification at a time and place that best suits your needs.
LTSA also provides quality and flexible professional development opportunities to the library industry. Enrolments in individual units or Skill sets are encouraged, so that you can update specific skills and still gain a Statement of Attainment rather than a full qualification. Students are supported by highly experienced trainers throughout their studies, and receive up-to-date training materials in both print and electronic formats. Practical demonstration of on-the-job tasks may include completing research activities, and/or sending photographs, audio or videorecordings which document students completing work tasks relevant to specific units.
Whilst LTSA is located in Brisbane, there is no requirement to attend face-to-face classes. Contact with your dedicated trainer may be via phone, email and Skype (where applicable) and we welcome students who are able to visit when in Brisbane for a personal appointment.
